2 in 1 Challenge Card

Good Afternoon

I have had a busy few days but managed to make a card this morning after I had been to my son's Easter service at school. I have combined 2 challenges with this card. I have used the sketch at Cupcake Craft Challenge and the theme at PBSC is "Think Spring".

Charisma Cardz ~ #12

Good Morning

The weather is awful here today (very wet!!). We are all going to Zara's 1st Birthday Party this afternoon. It is at our friends' house and they were hoping the weather was going to be dry so the children can play outside.

I have made this card for the Charisma Cardz challenge which is "Favourite Things". I have used quite a few of my favourite things ~ Pink, Teddy Bears & Penny Black stamps. This card is for Zara's 1st Birthday.

Papers ~ Craft Creations/Swiss dots embossed cardstock
Circles ~ X-cut shape cutter
Ribbon ~ Warehouse clearance shop
"Cute" Embellishment ~ Craft Creatives (Tesco)

Many thanks for taking the time to look and if you have time comments are most appreciated. x

Truly Scrumptious ~ #3

Good Afternoon

The Truly Scrumptious challenge this week is a fab sketch designed by Beth. The DT also want us to use something shiny (anything that would attract a magpie's eye) so I have used a Dovecraft jewel brad in the centre of the flower for my "something shiny".

Image ~ Penny Black stamp (? name)
Papers ~ Dovecraft Wild Blossom
Ribbon ~ Anita's
Flowers ~ Magazine freebie
Pearls ~ Kanban
Brad ~ Dovecraft

I have made this card for Chris' "Auntie Pat" who is 70 today. She is not really his auntie but he has called her this since he was a little boy as Pat and her husband Mike are good friends of his parents. I decided not to put a 70 on the front of the card but have included it in the verse instead. I have also made a box to match as it is a special birthday.

Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning

Hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. I only got round to making my MIL's Mother's Day card last night. I was going to make her a MUM word card like the one I made for my Mum but ran out of time. I must say I really like this card which is unusual for me as normally there is always something I wish I had done differently but not this time. Hope she likes it as much as I do lol!

I am entering this card for The Sugar Bowl challenge which is "Mother's Day".

Papers ~ Papermania Amethyst Infusion
Flowers ~ Purple (Green Tara) and White (Papermania)
Pearls ~ Kanban
Pearl Brad and Ribbon ~ Stash
Sentiment ~ PC

I am now off to Morrisons to get a few bits for lunch as MIL is coming over for the afternoon. I won't be seeing my Mum today as we met up for lunch yesterday. We also went to a local craft shop called Sew Simple and a few things fell in our baskets lol!

Charisma Cards #10 & Colour Create #7

Hello

Hope you are all well. It's a lovely warm sunny day here in Norfolk today and don't know about you but I always feel so much happier when the sun is shining. It is Chris' (my OH) birthday on Friday and this is the card I have made for him from me. I have still got to make one from Jamie which I will hopefully do this afternoon. I asked Chloe this morning if she wanted me to make her a card for him but she is going to make her own tonight.

I have combined 2 challenges for this card. Over at Charisma Cardz the theme is "Something for the Guys" and the colours at Colour Create are "Red and Green". This was a very quick and easy card to make as I have used a Kanban kit, red cardstock and Kanban pearls. He likes simple "non~cluttered" cards so hopefully he will like it!

As I was transferring my photos from the camera I spotted this cute photo of Jamie dressed as a pirate so thought I would pop it on here for you to see. It was taken a few weeks ago when he had to go to school dressed as a character from a Fairytale and he went as Captain Hook.

Thanks for taking the time to look and any comments are most appreciated. x

SPRING!

Good Evening

I have combined 2 challenges for this card. The Cupcake Craft Challenge is "Spring" and the colours at Colour Create are "Orange, Yellow & Green". These cute little ducklings certainly made me think of Spring so thought they would be ideal for the Cupcake Craft Challenge and also included all the Colour Create colours.

I bought this pack of Dufex at the weekend to make some Easter cards for some of my older relatives as I don't think they are too keen on stamped images. This is the first time I have used Dufex and I am quite pleased with the result.

Mum's the Word!

Good Evening

Hope you are all having a lovely week so far. I have had a nice day as my mum phoned this morning and asked if she could come over as she had baked some buns for the children. Luckily for me she also had some craft goodies for me. She has recently bought some craft goodies and shared them with me ~ Thanks mum! x

This week the Charisma Cardz challenge is Pretty Cards / Pretty Cards for Mum and I have made this card for my Mum for Mother's Day. The "MUM" template is a download from Cuddly Buddly. Hope she like's it!

It was quite time consuming making this but I really enjoyed it and will be making another one for Chris' Mum for Mother's Day.

As always thanks for looking and your comments are most appreciated. x

Cupcake Craft Challenge ~ #29

Good Evening

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. This afternoon I made a card for the
Cupcake Craft Challenge where the inspiration for your card has to come from the picture below. My inspiration came from the colours of the flowers.

I really enjoyed making this card as I don't normally use these colours and they really reminded me that Spring will soon be here. I have added gems to the centre of the flowers of the stamped image. I didn't have any ribbon that matched the paper so I had a look in my daughter's craft box and she had a ribbon that matched perfectly and kindly let me have some for my card ~ Thanks Chloe x

B/P ~ Daisy and Dandelion
Flowers ~ Yellow (X-cut punch embossed with swiss dots) Green (Prima)

Lili of the Valley ~ #20

Good Evening

Here is the card I have made for the Lili of the Valley Challenge which is a great sketch by Donalda and they are looking for 2 new DT members. I used one of the cute Daisy & Dandelion bunny stickers I bought at the weekend. These little bunnies are so cute I think I really "need" to buy the stamps. I might pop into The Range on my way home from work Friday to see if they have some more in stock.

Papers ~ Daisy & Dandelion
Sentiment ~ From above sticker pack which I have mounted onto card
Flowers ~ Papermania & Prima with Kanban pearl and punched flowers
