Charity Shop Bargain Competition!

Good afternoon

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  I have been catching up with the housework and having a good sort out.  Chris took a load to the tip yesterday morning and then 6 bags to the charity shop in the afternoon.  I can't believe how much stuff we have hoarded in the 4 years we have lived here!  This afternoon we are going to make a space in the garage so I can have a cabinet (this one) for craft storage because it is slowly taking over the house lol!

Last Sunday when I was shopping in town with Chloe I spotted some rubber stamps in the window of one of the charity shops but unfortunately it was closed.  Anyway the next day after taking the children to school I decided to have a look and picked up a couple from the window display.  When I went to pay the lady in the shop asked if I would like to look through the other boxes of stamps that had been donated.  Well as you can imagine I wasn't going to say no lol! There must have been over 200 stamps inc Penny Black, Hero Arts!  This is what I came home with for the princely sum of £16 ... bargain!.

They still had the original prices on them and I thought for a little bit of fun I would run a little competition.  Can you guess how much the above stamps would have cost new?  I will send the person whose guess is the closest some crafting goodies :-)

Catch up with you all on Tuesday with my card for the Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge.

Lazy afternoon

Good afternoon

Just a quick post because I need to get something sorted for tea early tonight because Chloe is going to try out Guides tonight.  She doesn't really want to leave Brownies but she is going to be 11 in May so it's time for her to move on.  She is a little bit nervous but i'm sure she will be fine once she gets there.

It's my Uncle's 65th birthday on Saturday so I made him a card using one of the cute squares from Lili of the Valley.  I have bought a few packs of these because they are perfect when you want to make a quick card or don't feel like colouring.  I actually added a little bit of colour to the leaves and grass :-)

This image is from the Vintage Boys pack and is called 'Lazy afternoon'.  I teamed it up with some Dovecraft 'Masculine' papers.  I finished it off with a Craftwork Cards die cut sentiment, a die cut corner and a couple of eyelets.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good morning

Following on from yesterday's post I am excited to say Teddy Bo's Store is now open for business :-) Why not pop across to view the collection of cute digi images. There is a 'Special Offer' from today until Sunday 16th Jan so if you buy 3 images you get one FREE :-)

Also launching today is the Teddy Bo Tuesday challenge and there is some rather gorgeous candy on offer from our first sponsor, Wild Orchid Crafts, for one lucky winner. There will also be a Top 3 who will each get to choose a digi stamp from Teddy Bo's Store. The challenges will be fortnightly on a Tuesday so there's plenty of time to take part.

Our first challenge is 'Anything Goes' but you must use a Teddy Bo or Bea image on your card. You can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Bo or Bea, you will then qualify to be in the draw for the fab prizes.

Crafter's Companion January Challenge ~ DT Card

Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a lovely New Year's Eve whether you were out painting the town red or like me seeing the New Year in at home.

It's the first of the month so a new challenge has been set at Crafter's Companion.  This month we have a fab sketch by my lovely DT buddy Jacqui and the optional theme is 'New'.  It can be new year, new baby, new products ... in fact anything 'New'.

You can choose to follow the sketch, the theme or both together and remember you don't have to use Crafters Companion products but if you do you'll be entered twice into the random draw for the £30 voucher that Sara is offering for one lucky winner :-)

I decided to make a new baby card because our friend and his partner had a baby girl, Grace, just before Christmas.  I'm not sure I like the flowers on this card but it's too late now because there are well and truly stuck down.
