Born to Shop!

Good morning

The weather is still HOT, HOT, HOT here in Norfolk this week!  We had a little rain yesterday morning but then the sunshine returned :o)  Anyway enough about the weather and on to my card.  This card is for another work colleague, Gill, whose birthday is next week.  I was going to use the 'Classy Lady' image again which I used for Rachel's card but decided to use this sweet 'Born to Shop' LOTV image because Gill loves a little retail therapy lol!

Jamie's Birthday Card

Good morning

Looks like it's going to be another scorcher here today! Chris' mum is coming over shortly to babysit because Chris and I are going shopping in Norwich for a couple of hours. When we get back Chris will be glued to the TV watching the football.

On 12th July my baby boy is going to be 6. When I saw this cute LOTV stamp I just had to buy it for Jamie's birthday card because it reminds me so much of him playing car games on the Playstation.

Classy Lady

Good morning

I have been up since 6 o'clock so decided to make a card for one of my work colleagues who is celebrating her 50th birthday on Tuesday.  I decided not to put the number on her card because she is not looking forward to turning 50.

Tilda with Peony

Good evening

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. The weather has been awful here today so we couldn't get on with anything in the garden. I had to take Jamie to a birthday party this afternoon so while he was at the party Chloe and I had a wander round the town. We bought a few bits and bobs and then stopped for some refreshments. Chloe had a very yummy looking cupcake but I just had a coffee because I am on the Weight Watchers diet so trying to be good. Anyway enough about my day and onto my card.

A Traditional Christmas Flower

Good morning

Hope you are all well and having a good week so far.

At the beginning of the year I had every intention of making one Christmas card a week so I had a nice little stash ready.  However, I haven't quite managed to keep up with one a week but have made a few.  Every little helps!  Anyway yesterday I decided to make another Christmas card to add to my little pile.

Pink Tilda

Good afternoon

It's another dull dreary day here.  I hope the weather improves for the weekend because Chloe is going on her Brownie camp holiday tomorrow night.  We are going to be busy when she gets home from school today sorting out all the stuff she needs to take.  It will probably involve a quick dash to Tescos because no doubt there will be something on the list that we haven't got.

This card has been in the making for a couple of days.  On Tuesday some of the new Magnolia stamps arrived on my doormat and this one was my fav so I had to ink it up and colour straightaway.  I made it into a card yesterday but haven't had time to pop it on my blog until now.  This stamp is called 'Tilda with Wedding Gifts' but I think it is perfect for birthdays and Christmas.

For the last few weeks I have been colouring with Copics but decided to colour this image with Promarkers because I hadn't used them in a while.  I like the finished result of both pens but  I must admit I find Promarkers easier to use.

Football Crazy

Good evening

It has been so hot here today and as much as I love the sun it was too hot to be in the garden so I decided to stay indoors and make a card.  Jamie was happy to be in playing on the Playstation and Chloe has gone to her friend's for a sleepover.

On Sunday two of Jamie's school friends are having a football birthday party so when I ordered some of the new release LOTV stamps earlier this week I also bought this cute little footballer as I thought he would be perfect for Jamie's friends.

At first I struggled because I couldn't find any suitable papers but then I had a 'lightbulb moment' and remembered that I had bought some Sharon Duncan CD's a few years ago and one of them was a football theme.  I had a rummage through my CD's and found it (think this is the first time it has been used!) and the papers were perfect.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Bugs & Beasties!

Good morning

It's the first Friday of the month so that means a new challenge has been set at the Crafty Calendar Challenge. So for the month of June the challenge is 'Bugs & Beasties' ~ To celebrate Summer we would love to see your cards/projects that contain bugs and insects ~ added option of 'Wings'.

When I saw the challenge I immediately thought of this Tilda image.  Isn't Tilda just the cutest little bug all dressed up in her ladybug costume :o)

Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge

Good afternoon

Looks like summer has returned to Norfolk today :o)  A few weeks ago I bought this sweet Crafters Companion Flower Fairy stamp so decided to use it for the new Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge which is a fab sketch and the optional theme of 'floral'.  You don't have to use a Crafters Companion image but you must use an image from a CD/stamp range sold on the website (that includes ALL stamps not just Crafters Companion). This stamp was a little too big for my normal 6 x 6 cards so decided to make an 8 x 8 card for my MIL's birthday in July.  I really enjoyed colouring this image so decided to also use it on the inside of the card.
