Allsorts Challenge ~ Buttons

Good Morning

Well Saturday is here again so it's time for another challenge at Allsorts. This week it's my turn to set the challenge and I have chosen 'Buttons'. I love buttons and have lots in my stash but must admit I really struggle to know what to do with them so this was quite a challenge for me lol!

This week our sponsor is Digisparkle (an online digistamp company). Digisparkle has a variety of digistamps that they are adding to on a regular basis. The prize for one lucky winner(chosen by random.org) is a voucher which entitles the winner to a month's free, unlimited access, to the Digisparkle store.

The DT were very fortunate to be allowed to chose a free image to use for our projects this week.  I decided to use this month's freebie ~ 'The Ballerinas'.  There are 4 ballerina images and they are perfect for girly cards.  If you would like these images they are available here.

I am also entering this card for the following challenges:~

Charity Candy

Good Morning

Victoria at Blue Jelly Too has some fabulous blog candy on offer until 9th Dec. But this is no ordinary candy because Victoria is giving away this candy to raise funds for charity ~ SANDs Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.

This charity is very special to Victoria because 3 years ago her first baby, Flynn, tragically died when he was just two days old following birth complications at 42 weeks.

When I saw Victoria's candy post I really wanted to help her raise money for this charity because 6 years ago I lost our baby boy, Ben, when I was 22 weeks pregnant because of a congenital birth defect. We were absolutely devastated by the loss of our baby son and even now I can clearly remember how grief stricken we felt.

So if you would like to help Victoria raise funds for this fantastic charity here's what you have to do. Victoria would like you to send her your handmade cards and/or gifts wrapped with envelopes in a saleable state. She will then pass these on to SANDs who will sell and keep 100% of the proceeds to help set up new SANDs groups across the UK. For every card you send you get 1 blog candy entry. So 1 card = 1 entry, 10 cards = 10 entries etc.

Just Magnolia ~ Mina's Sketch

Good Afternoon

Just a quick post because I am just about to leave to take the children for a hair cut. I had a spare couple of hours before collecting the children from school so I decided to make a card for the Just Magnolia challenge as I could resist inking up one of my new Tildas.

Allsorts Challenge #27 ~ For a Child

Good Morning

This week at Allsorts Emma has set the challenge and she has chosen 'For a Child'. I decided to make a Christmas card and I think these cute LOTV die-cuts are perfect for little girls. Emma is donating a fab prize this week ~ a set of 4 Promakers! Don't forget to check to see if you were last week's winner or one of the Top 5.

I am going to make a few cards using these die-cuts for the Christmas Fair I am doing in a couple of weeks so I would be most grateful if you could let me know what you think and also what you think is a reasonable price to charge for a handmade card (6 x 6 size).

Allsorts Challenge Week 26 'Bring out your Bling'

Good Morning

It's Saturday again and time for another challenge at Allsorts. Thanks to everyone who joined in with Amanda's 'Wedding' Challenge. Don't forget to check to see if you were the winner of the Stampin Up Xmas Stamp or one of the Top 5.

This week Jules has set the challenge and she has chosen 'Bring out your Bling'.

We are being sponsored by Digistamp Boutique this week and Sally-Ann very kindly let the DT choose an image of their choice from the boutique. There are so many gorgeous images and I really was spoilt for choice. As my daughter's name is Chloe I decided to have the 'Chloe with Snowball' image.

Papers ~ Craftwork Cards 'Candy Cane' and DCWV 'Rose Tinted Christmas'
Flowers ~ Flora Doodles Poinsettia
Sentiment ~ Papermania Elements

Sorry about the quality of my photograph. I took about 20 photographs and this was the best one I could get. Think it might be because the Craftwork Cards paper is slightly shiny.

I am sure there will be lots of Bonfire Parties tonight and if you having/going to one hope you have a fab time but please remember to stay safe and follow the Firework Code.

Have a great weekend!

Crafty Calendar Challenge #2 ~ Weather

Good Morning

It's the first Friday of the month so that means it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar Challenge. Firstly I would like to say thank you to everyone who joined in with our 'Autumn Challenge' and if you did please remember to check to see if you were the winner of the 6 Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps.

This month the challenge is to make a card associated with a type of weather with the added option of pearls. Our sponsor this month is Nikki at Bunny Zoe Crafts.

As we are heading towards winter I decided to make a snowy/frosty card. This is the first time I have used this sweet Sugar Nellie 'Snowflake' stamp as I was saving her for this challenge lol! I have recently bought some Gemstones cardstock and it has a lovely shimmer to it which was perfect for this card.

Penny Black ~ Pink Christmas

Good Afternoon

Hope you are all having a good week so far. This morning Chloe said she had a 'tummy ache' so after trying to work out if she was really unwell or trying to get a day off school I decided to let her stay at home. To be honest she doesn't make a habit of trying to get a day off school but has been known to now and again lol! I think today could have been one of those days as she seemed fine when she was on the computer and watching TV so it's off to school for you tomorrow young lady!

Anyway while she was on the computer I managed to make a card for the following challenges; 1) Susie's Sassy Challenge ~ Christmas. This is a new fortnightly challenge and there is a fantastic prize worth over £60 for one lucky person. 2) Create4Fun Challenge ~ Sketch and again another fab prize of Nestabilities Octagons. I am keeping my fingers crossed lol!

Papers ~ Bearly Mine Designs 'Designer Extreme Vol. III'
Snowflakes ~ Martha Stewart 'Arctic Snowflake' punch with pearl centres

I really must go and tidy up the dining room table (or craft table as Chris calls it!) so we can eat our tea.

Many thanks for stopping by and your comments are most appreciated.

Popcorn the Bear

Good Evening

The children went back to school today so I spent most of the day tidying up. However, I managed to find a spare couple of hours this afternoon after the school run to make this card. It's the first time I have used any of the Popcorn the Bear Christmas stamps. I love these cute stamps but they are a quite big for the 6 x 6 cards I like to make and I couldn't make my mind up whether or not to put something in the top left corner but in the end I decided not to and think it was the right decision.

This card is for the following challenge; Creative Card Crew ~ 'Ribbon & Gems', My Time to Craft ~ 'So Many Scallops' and Stamp Something ~ 'Cute & Fuzzy'

Image ~ Popcorn the Bear 'Snow Love'
Papers ~ Dovecraft 'Tis the Season'
Sentiment ~ Popcorn the Bear 'Christmas Hugs'
Ribbon ~ Local craft shop
Gems ~ Red dew drops

Thank you for visiting and any comments you make are most appreciated.
