Die Cut Dreams ~ Halloween

Good Morning

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I have been up since 6 o'clock so have made another HALLOWEEN card using the Daisy & Dandelion die-cuts. This one is for the Die Cut Dreams Challenge which is a fab sketch and to use the colours Black, Purple, Orange & Green.

I decided to make this card look a little more spooky by inking the flowers and the orange cardstock. The paper is from the Bearly Mine Designer Extreme Vol III CD, Ribbon from stash, Flowers are Green Tara (Purple & Green) and the orange one is Petaloo (I have removed the yellow gem and replaced it with a black Kanban pearl). This card is for my daughter, Chloe, so hope she likes it!

Sorry about the photo ~ my camera didn't like the colours for some reason!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. It is sunny here today (and a little chilly) so I am now going to take Jamie for a bike ride.

Allsorts ~ Week 22

Good Morning

Well Saturday is here again so it's time for another Allsorts Challenge. This week Gro has set the challenge and she has chosen HALLOWEEN. We are being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs and the prize is this cute stamp.

Here is my DT Card

I decided to use these cute Daisy & Dandelion Halloween Pumpkin & Aubergine die-cuts for my card. They are great value because you get 4 sheets for £1.99 and are ideal for making quick & easy Halloween cards, invitations and goody bags. I have also used MME Bloom & Grow paper, black shiny cardstock, Kanban black pearls, purple spotty ribbon from stash, a die-cut frame, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and Fiskars border punch.

I am also entering this card for A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge as they also have a HALLOWEEN theme this week and Simon Says Stamp BOO!

Hope you can join us at Allsorts this week as we would love to see your SPOOKY creations.

Allsorts Challenge 21 ~ 'Kraft'

Good Afternoon

I would just like to say thank you so much to everyone who left me such lovely messages yesterday. It really means a lot to me.

Sorry I am so late with my DT card for this week's Allsorts Challenge but I had to work this morning.

This week at Allsorts the challenge is to use the colour 'Kraft'. The prize is a free download from Pink Petticoat and the DT were very fortunate as Liz at Pink Petticoat gave us all the fantastic download 'Big Fella' to work with. Thank you so much Liz! Also if you use Pink Petticoat products for your entry you can link twice so you have double the chance to win!

Autumn has definitely arrived in Norfolk today. It's very windy and leaves are blowing everywhere. Last night it was so chilly we had to turn the heating on for an hour to warm the house. Perfect weather for crafting don't you think!

IN MEMORY OF MY DAD

One year ago today I lost my dearly loved dad. He was such a funny man and always had a joke to tell me every time I saw him. Chloe and Jamie often talk about 'Grandad John' and we all miss him so much.

This is my favourite photo of dad with Chloe and Jamie (Christmas 2005).

Allsorts DT Card 'Autumn Days'

Good Morning

This week at Allsorts it is my turn to set the challenge and I have chosen 'Autumn Days' so I would like you to be inspired by Autumn. It can be the colours, image or whatever makes you think of Autumn.

This week our sponsor is The Craft Garden and the prize is a tote bag, pack of Essentials Animal Bash, Pack of Olive Painterly Petals and a pack of Caramel E-line flowers.

In addition Kerry is also offering all our blog readers a 10% discount in the shop until 31st October when you use the code allsorts at checkout. How fab is that! The shop address is http://www.craftgarden.co.uk/

Here is my 'Autumn Days' DT Card

To be honest I am not sure I like this card. I had it all planned out in my head but it didn't quite turn out as I had imagined and I don't think it is very 'inspiring'. The rest of the Design Team have come up with some fantastic work to give you inspiration. I am sure they would be thrilled if you have time to visit their blogs to show your support.

This week at Allsorts it is Kirsten's turn to set the challenge and she has chosen 'SNOWFLAKES IN SEPTEMBER'. The winner this week will be our GUEST DESIGNER for the whole of OCTOBER. I love making Christmas cards so really enjoyed this challenge. It was the ideal opportunity to ink up this cute Penny Black stamp I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Autumn Days and Passion for Promarkers Blog Hop

Good Morning

I think autumn has definitely arrived in Norfolk today. There is a chill in the air and it just feels very autumnal. We have been very lucky as we have had very little rain all summer unlike other parts of the UK. I love autumn and it always makes me think back to when I was at school and we used to sing 'Autumn Days' in school assemblies and harvest festivals. I will be singing this all day now lol!

Just thought I would let you know about the Blog Hop at Passion for Promarkers. The blog hop will last from 10am today until 9pm on Thursday. The lucky winner will win a whole set of 56 new colour ProMarkers kindly donated by Letraset. WOW what a fantastic prize. Don't know why I am spreading the word as I want to win them lol!

So if you would like the chance to win join in the fun HERE.

Crafty Cardmakers Sketch Challenge

I recently discovered a new challenge Crafty Cardmakers and this week it is a sketch challenge. This is just my kind of sketch so couldn't wait to get started on my card. I recently bought some die cut toppers from Lili of the Valley and these are ideal when you need to make a quick card.

PBSC ~ Domi's Sketch

Good Afternoon

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Jamie fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon so I had time to make a card for the PBSC which is a fab sketch by Domi. This card is for one of the doctors at work who has recently had a baby girl.

Papers ~ DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl
Flowers ~ Pink (Petaloo), White (Papermania), Rose (Joanna Sheen)
Sentiment ~ Die cut (The Range)

I am sorry about the photograph. For the last few weeks I have noticed that I am struggling to get a decent photograph of my cards. I have had my eye on a Canon EOS 450D for quite a while so might have to buy one soon.
