Crafty Calendar Challenge #4 ~ Keeping Warm

Good Morning

Happy New Year!  It's certainly a very snowy start to 2010 here in Norfolk because we have had a covering of snow overnight. I can hardly believe 10 years ago we were celebrating the Millenium and I was pregnant with my daughter Chloe so it was a very exciting time.  However, that must mean my little girl is going to be 10 this year ~ where has the time gone?

Hope you all had a lovely New Year's Eve whether you were out partying or, like me, seeing the New Year in at home.  Luckily this year I did manage to stay awake to see the New Year in because I have been known to fall asleep on the sofa lol!

It's the first Friday of the month again so that means a new challenge has been set at the Crafty Calendar Challenge.  This month the challenge is 'Keeping Warm' and the optional extra is 'Texture'.  This can be shown by the colours, image or texture and for my card I decided to show warmth through the papers and colours.  I have included texture with the swiss dots embossing folder, flowers and ribbon.

Image ~ Miss Anya
Papers ~ Basic Grey Bittersweet
Sentiment & Ribbon ~ Craftwork Cards
Flowers & Gems ~ Stash
Brad ~ Papermania pearl brad

Please pop over to the Crafty Calendar Challenge blog and check out the gorgeous cards made by the Design Team and our fab Guest DT Marianne.

I am also entering this card for the following challenges:

Roses on Paper Challenge ~ Favourite colouring medium (Promarkers).

Charisma Cardz Challenge ~ Celebrations! .

Chris' mum is coming over later and I am going to cook roast chicken with all the trimmings followed by chocolate orange gateau ~ yummy!  Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you have planned.

Before I go I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has visited my blog in 2009.  It really makes my day to read all your lovely comments and I look forward to your friendship in 2010.

Hi Lisa

Very true, where have those ten years gone.

I remember Millenium night with our two eldest going to a fancy dress party and coming home in the early hours with about a dozen friends and then spending hours making bacon butties for them all.

Lovely card by the way, the coorus do give a feeling of warmth.

Happy New Year.

I too can't believe where the last decade has gone and that my daguther Sophie will also be 10 this year...my lil baby all grown up and to think she will start her last year at Primary school in September...doesn't bear thinking about lol!
