Strawberries & Cream with a hint of Chocolate!

Good Afternoon

It's so HOT here today! I have been busy catching up with the washing/housework. I also decided to have a really good tidy up in our bedroom. Or as Chris would call it "craftroom". Haven't finished yet! I really need to sit down and make some cards tonight. I decided to send Chris' Auntie and Mum a card to say thank you for helping me on the refreshment stall at Jamie's school fete on Friday. As some of us on the PTA asked friends and family to help I thought it would be nice to send cards from the PTA to anyone who had helped on the day (excluding parents and teaching staff) so now have a few extra cards to make.

I finished making this card yesterday for Margaret (Chris' Auntie) but haven't had time to upload it until now. Hope she likes it! It is for Moving Along with the Times which is a fab sketch and there is an additional theme of Strawberries & Cream with a hint of Chocolate.

Blog Makeover

Good Morning

Well it's another day off work for me today as it's Jamie's sports day this afternoon. I only work Mon and Fri so not in again until Friday so have had 10 days off. I could get used to this lol!

Yesterday I decided my blog needed a makeover. I have changed it several times in the last few weeks but haven't been that happy with it. However, yesterday I found this gorgeous background and I asked Lisa, one of my blogging buddies, from Allissa Designs Cabin if she would kindly design me a banner to match. Bless her she worked on it through the night and this is what she came up with. I cannot believe how fantastic it looks. I never imagined it would look this good. Thanks so much Lisa ~ You're a Star! xx

Now off to finish the card I made yesterday and then a little bit of housework.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Week 7

Good Morning

I really enjoyed my day off yesterday. Jamie's class assembly was excellent. It was "Ocean" themed and they finished by singing "Octopus' Garden" with actions. They all looked so cute! Just in case you haven't got a clue what I am talking about copy and paste this link for Octopus' Garden.

Also the school fete was a huge success and we made just over £1500 for school funds so all the hard work was worth it.

This week the challenge at Allsorts has been set by Jackie and she has chosen "Acetate". I have never used acetate and at first didn't have a clue what to make. However, my nesties saved the day and I decided to make a shaker card.

Summer Tilda

Good Morning

Just a quick post because I need to get the children ready for school. No work for me today as it's Jamie's class assembly this morning and in the afternoon it's his school fete and I am on the refreshment stall. Chris is also taking the day off work today.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Week 5

Good Afternoon

We had a great response to my "Pink & White" challenge last week. Thanks to everyone who took part ~ I really enjoyed visiting your blogs. The only problem I had was deciding who to pick for my Top 5 as there were so many fantastic entries.

This week it is Gro's choice for the challenge and she has chosen "Triangles". For my DT project I decided to make a Triangle Trifold card following a great tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers. The tutorial can be found here. The only difference is I made mine using 2 square card blanks as I wanted a bigger card.

Penny Black Rainin' Daisies image coloured with Promarkers, cut out and layered with nesties, Papermania Blueberry Hill papers, the flowers are Green Tara (pink), X-cut punch (blue) with a Papermania pearl brad, the leaves are done using a Woodware punch, ladybug charm from local craft shop, Craftwork Cards sentiment and a few pearls and ribbon to finish it off.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend. The sun is shining again here after a wet week so we are having a BBQ tonight.

2 in 1 Challenge Card

Good Afternoon

This card is for 2 challenges: Stampin' for the Weekend have a colour challenge "purple & yellow" and SCSC "bling".

I have never used these colours together before and I struggled a little at first but once I got started it all came together nicely.

Tilda with Ladybug image coloured with Promarkers, cut out and layered with nesties, the gingham paper is Craft Creations, the flowers are Green Tara (pink), Papermania (white) with a Papermania pearl brad, the leaves are done using a Woodware punch, Craftwork Cards sentiment and a few pearls to finish it off.

Just a quick post today as I have lots to do today ~ food shopping, washing, ironing etc etc.
