Penny Black Card

Good Afternoon

Over on Docrafts I have started up a new Penny Black challenge. Well I say new but it's not really a new idea because when I first joined Docrafts just over a year ago there was a weekly Penny Black challenge but for some reason (can't remember why now) it stopped so I thought it would be nice to start it up again. I set the challenge this week but there will be a new host every week. I decided to do a colour challenge (Blue, Orange and Cream) with an extra option of Flowers, Buttons or Both. I am also going to enter this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is "Anything Goes".



Sorry about this photo but I had to quickly take it before I went to visit my Nan as it was for her birthday.

I will be back later with some blog candy as my counter has now gone over 5000 hits.

Weight Watchers!!

Good Afternoon

I have been thinking for a while about joining Weight Watchers and today was the day I finally decided to do it! When I met Chris I was a size 10 but over the years my weight has gradually increased and I am now a size 16/18! He never says anything to me about my weight but I am sure he must think it. To keep me motivated I am going to post on here every Thursday after my weigh-in. Really must go and do some housework and hopefully I will get a chance to make a card tonight.

Docrafts Dotty Tilda & My Time To Craft Challenge

Good Morning

Hope you are all having a nice weekend. Yesterday Chloe went to stay at my mum's and is coming back at at lunchtime today. Jamie doesn't think he would like to sleep at Nanna's so we took him out for the day. We went on a steam engine on the Poppy Line Railway from Holt to Sheringham which is on the North Norfolk coast. If you ever visit Norfolk I would recommend this trip as it really is enjoyable for people of all ages.

I have made a card for the Docrafts Tilda Challenge using this week's sketch at My Time To Craft. For the Docrafts Tilda Challenge you have to have spots/dots and 3 colours and I choose pink, green & white. For a change I coloured the image using my Whispers (I normally use Promarkers) and am quite pleased with the result. I have some cute ladybug embellishments and can't decide whether or not to add one to striped paper (bottom left). What do you think?

Daisy and Dandelion Craft Challenge ~ #1

Good Evening

I have had a busy day with the children today as we went into Norwich shopping. They both had £15 to spend which they were given from various family members for Easter. Jamie bought a tractor with his money (this didn't surprise me because he is TRACTOR MAD!) and Chloe bought some new clothes for her bear (Rose) from The Bear Fatory. I also had a few purchases and spent way too much ~ clothes for myself and the children, perfume and 2 CD's for Chris!

When I got home after I had a much needed cup of tea and the children were happy playing I had time to make a card for Erica Martyn's Daisy & Dandelion Craft Challenge which is a fab sketch. If you would like to participate in this challenge you need to be quick as the closing date is 18th April.

I was going to use my Bubbles & Squeak stamps but then I remembered I had bought a pack of Candyfloss & Marshmallow stickers so decided to use these. All the products on this card are Daisy & Dandelion. The flowers and sentiment are all from the sticker pack and have been mounted onto white card and then cut out and raised with foam pads.



I am back to work tomorrow. I only work Mondays and Fridays and as our department is closed on bank holidays this meant I didn't have to go into work for 10 days. Think it's going to be a bit of a shock to the system tomorrow lol!

I made 2 cards yesterday using the Cute Daisy May digi stamps. They really are so cute and very easy to colour.

I am entering my first card for 3 blog challenges. I have used the sketch at Friday Sketchers, the colours at Colour Create this week are Chocolate, Coffee & Cream and over at DU2DS they want to see "Bling". I found the colours quite tricky as I wouldn't normally use these colours but it's not called a challenge for nothing lol!

My second card is for the Cute Daisy May challenge and this week it is "Shape Up" so you have to make a shaped card. Again this was quite a challenge as I love square cards. However, yesterday in Tesco's I found a pack of butterfly shaped card blanks and an idea popped into my head. I am not sure about this card so no doubt at some time the rest of the butterfly card blanks will be donated to Chloe's cardmaking box.

We decided we would go to the coast this afternoon as the weather was so lovely. The children had great fun on the rides and playing on the 2p machines. I have quickly made a card tonight for the PBSC where the theme is "Easter". I am going to give this card to my son. He is just like his dad and isn't really interested in cards but as I have made his sister a card (she loves cards) I thought I better make him one too!

New Beginnings ~ Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #1

Good Morning

Stamptacular Sunday is a new challenge blog. The first challenge is "New Beginnings" and I have made a baby card. I don't tend to make baby cards unless somebody I know has had a baby but I have decided to start having a few cards made (New Baby, New Home, Wedding, Anniversary etc) so I have a little supply should I need one at short notice.

I think the image is a Magnolia stamp but not sure as I received it in an image swap. For the blue strip I have used one of my new Cuttlebug embossing borders. Papers are HOTP.



Hope you are all enjoying the Easter weekend so far. It is a lovely & sunny here today so think we might go out somewhere for the day.

Cute Daisy May DT Call

Good Morning

There is a DT call over at Daisy May Designs. If you would like to apply please make a card using any cute image and post it on your blog announcing DT call. As a member of the team you will receive all downloads as they are released and will be expected to make a piece of work for each challenge. The competition will stay open for two weeks and the winner will be announced on 13th April. I don't have any Cute Daisy May images yet! I have just been looking and can't decide which set (digi stamps) to buy as they are all so cute.

Anyway on to the card I am entering for the DT call. This is the first time I have used this cute Tilda with Lamb stamp. I bought it a couple of weeks ago from Tabby Crafts. You really must pop along and look at all the gorgeous goodies Tab has in stock. Delivery is super quick and really cheap P&P.

I am not too sure if I have coloured Tilda correctly. I think she is wearing a top and trousers but have seen other people colour her like she is wearing a dress. I quite like the way I have coloured her but would love to know what you think she is wearing.

ABC Challenge Card & Pink Gem Designs Candy

It is such a gorgeous sunny day here today! I am off to have my hair cut shortly but I had time to quickly make a card for the ABC Challenge where the theme is "H is for Hearts". As it is for a Golden Wedding Anniversary I have coloured the hearts in gold.
