Teddy For MIL!

Good evening

Hope you are all having a good weekend.  We had a few things to do in town this morning so we decided to go early and have cooked breakfast in one of the tearooms :-)  When we got back we caught up with a few jobs around the house ... feels good to tick a few things on the 'To Do' list.

Anyway it's been over a week since my last post so thought I would share a card I made earlier this week for MIL's birthday.  I am ashamed to say I rarely use any of my stamps more than once because I have so many still waiting to be used but it's the second time I've used this LOTV stamp this year.  I used it for my Mum's birthday card back in January and thought I would use it for MIL's card too!

I've had such a hectic week so i'm glad the weekend is here at last.  I am popping round to my friend's for a coffee tomorrow but haven't got anything else planned so looking forward to some R&R and cardmaking!

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend :-)

I haven't felt too well the last few days so haven't really felt like crafting but made this card a couple of nights ago using a Little Claire die cut because I didn't feel like colouring.  I am pleased to say i'm feeling much better now which is good because we are off to a BBQ at my Mum's tomorrow night ... fingers crossed the weather is dry!  There about 50 people coming and Chris and I are in charge of the BBQ's so think we are going to be busy!

Hope you are all well and having a good week so far.  Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post ... it does feel very strange not having any DT work but  I do feel it was the right decision.  

Over the weekend I had a look through my stamps and found sweet Elise by Sugar Nellie so decided to make a card for The Sugar Bowl challenge where there is a fab sketch and the optional theme of Shades of Violet.  Hope the Sweeties don't mind too much but I have tweaked the sketch very slightly because I don't really like my images to be at an angle!  I think they look great on other people's cards just not my own ... I have a similar issue with buttons lol!

Tough Decision!

Good morning

The weather is truly awful here today ... typical because I have the day off and we were hoping to go to the coast for a walk along the beach and a nice pub lunch on the way home. Not sure what we are going to do now but seeing as Jamie is watching TV, Chloe is on her iPod and they are still in their PJ's don't think we are going anywhere just yet!

The reason for my post today is to let you know that I have decided to step down from the Crafter's Companion DT.  This wasn't an easy decision because I have enjoyed my time with CC but over the last few months with work and family life I have been struggling with DT commitments so knew it was the right one but it didn't make it any easier .  I had recently stepped down from Pink Gem Designs to free up some time but feel I need to break away completely from design team work and for cardmaking to be just a hobby again.  

I am going to miss everyone at CC but will continue to keep in touch through blogging, FB etc.

I'm not saying I never want to be on a design team again but for now I am looking forward to crafting without the pressure/deadlines that come with being on a design team.  I am hoping I will have more time to enter challenges and start to use my poor neglected stash :-)

That's all from me ... Now going to make myself a cuppa and turn the heating up because i'm feeling chilly!

Good morning

Well it's all back to normal following the fun of the Jubilee weekend :-(  Hope you have all enjoyed the celebrations  We have been busy decorating Chloe's bedroom most of the weekend so haven't been to any local events but did enjoy watching the Pageant on the Thames and the Jubilee Concert at the Palace.  Yesterday we went to the coast ... it was a bit chilly but we had a great day!
