Good morning

I'm back again with my DT card for A Gem of a Challenge.   It's my turn to host the challenge and I have designed the sketch.  It's pretty simple (I don't do complicated lol!) so hope you will join us. Hope you are all well and having a good weekend.  I have had a busy week at work so not much time for crafting/blogging.  To top it off I had a few technical problems hence the reason why I am so late with with DT cards for Pink Gem & Winter Wonderland challenges.

A few JLS photos!

Good morning

No card to share today but thought I would show you all a few pictures from the JLS concert last night.  It was FANTASTIC and the JLS boys were awesome as was the lovely Olly Murs and Alexis Jordan.  I have such a sore throat today from all that singing lol!  It was Chloe and Jamie's first concert and their eyes lit up when JLS appeared on stage :-)

I am having a lazy day today after a busy weekend.  I am getting too old for all these late nights lol!

We had a great time at the BBQ last night.  Chris and I were doing the cooking for 50 people.  BBQ cooking always worries me in case it isn't cooked properly so hope everyone who came is feeling well today.  Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but it was held in one of my mum's barns so we kept dry and I think a great time was had by all :-)

The sun is shining today ... hope it lasts because we are off to see JLS tonight :-)

Winter Wonderland GDT

Good morning

Last Saturday when I checked my emails I was very intrigued when I saw I had an email from my lovely friend Marianne with the title 'An offer I hope you can't refuse'.  It was a lovely surprise when I opened it because it was an invitation to be the GDT for Marianne's team at Winter Wonderland for the month of June.  Christmas cards are my favs to make and seeing as I have only made one Christmas card so far this year it was too good an offer to refuse :-)

This is a scheduled post because I am at work today.  We have a busy weekend planned ... tonight after work we are going to a BBQ at my mum's and tomorrow we are taking the children to see JLS.  Fingers crossed the weather is nice!

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good morning

Hope you are all well and having a good week so far.  The sun is shining and it's Teddy Bo Tuesday which means there are more NEW images instore so all is well in my world lol!

For my card today I have used an adorable Bo image. As soon as I saw this image I knew I had the perfect sentiment for it which is a polymer stamp available here at Pink Gem Designs. The image has been coloured with copics and the sky and grass have been chalked to achieve a softer look. Papers are from the Dovecraft 'Masculine' pack which are still my fav papers for male cards ... a definite oldie but a goodie! I have finished it off with a punched MS border and a few card candy.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ June

Good afternoon

It's the first Saturday of the month so that means a new challenge has been set at Crafty Calendar Challenge.  This month it is Laura's turn to set the challenge and she has chosen 'Things with Wings'.  This can be anything at all that has wings ... fairies, birds, butterflies, angels to name a few!

Our sponsor is the amazing Whimsy Stamps and one lucky person will win 5 digital stamps of their choice!

I decided to use this sweet Bildmalarna stamp that I bought several months ago but have only just got round to using.  The papers are Basic Grey 'Bittersweet' which are still my fav BG papers ... just love the colours.  Flowers are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts.  The sentiment is a Pink Gem Designs polymer stamp which is now only available as a digi download.  I have also used  my Shapeabilities 'Floral Doily Motifs' available at Pink Gem Designs for the very reasonable price of £14.95.  I finished it off with a few Prima pearls.
