Good morning

Last night I decided to keep up with my plan to make a Christmas card every week and was up until 2 o'clock this morning making it so hence I am rather tired today!

I would love to go back to bed for a couple of hours but MIL will be here shortly to look after the children while we visit my aunt in hospital.  Think I will be in bed before the children tonight lol!

Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer

Good evening

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  I have had a busy week as I worked Monday and Tuesday and have been trying to keep the children entertained the rest of the week.  I did, however, find a little time to craft and made this card using the sketch at A Gem of a Challenge and the optional extra is to decorate the inside.  In fact I always decorate the inside of my cards but only photograph the front of the card but as this was part of the challenge I have also photographed the inside.

Things are a little different this month at A Gem of a Challenge because it's Mandy's birthday and she has decided to give a few extra prizes ....2 Pink Gem Designs stamps for Mandy's favourite entry using a PGD image and 2 Pink Gem Designs stamps for Mandy's favourite without a PGD image.  There will still be the Top 5 chosen by the DT and the random winner will be chosen from all entries with a Pink Gem Designs image and they will win 2 PGD stamps of their choice (subject to availability).  So there are lots of chances to win this month so it is worth entering even if you don't use a PGD image!

Popcorn's 'Pink' School Days!

Good morning

Hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend.  In my last post on Thursday I mentioned that my daughter, Chloe, had asked if I could make a pink card for her teaching assistant using the Popcorn School Days image.  At first I didn't think it would work because to me Popcorn should be brown with a red apple but once I decided to colour Popcorn grey and the apple green it all came together and I was actually quite pleased with the finished result.

Popcorn's School Days!

Good evening

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend :o)  The children have had a busy week with lots of school activities because it's the last day of term tomorrow.  I have also been busy making cards for them to give to their teachers and teaching assistants. 

I won't bore you with all of them because they are all made with the same Popcorn the Bear image but here is the one I made for Jamie's teacher.  Chloe requested a pink colour combo for her teaching assistant's card but I will show you that one another day.

The school holidays start this Friday so I won't have as much time for crafting and blogging .  We have planned lots of days out and have discussed going to stay in London for a few days.   I haven't been to London since I was about 10 years old when my mum's friend took me and her daughter on a day trip lol!

Beary Christmas & Magnolia Stamp Club

Good morning

There are lots of Christmas challenges around in blogland at the moment so it inspired me to make a Christmas card.  I have lots of unused packs of Christmas papers and had every intention of not buying any new papers this year.  However, when I popped into The Range on Saturday I just had to buy the new Papermania 'A Silent Night' papers.  I love every design in this pack and some of the sheets have special finishes.  I think I will be making most of my Christmas cards with these papers this year because they are so lovely :o)

Chloe hasn't been to school the last two days because she isn't feeling well.  She slept quite a lot yesterday but seems a little brighter today so we are going to do some cardmaking together after I have done the housework.

Forever Friends Wedding Card

Good morning

We are going to my cousin's wedding today.  It is a bit dull and overcast at the moment  so hope the sun comes out to play soon!  Anyway here is the card I made for the happy couple.  It is an 8 x 8 size and I have also made a matching box.  I am entering this card at Tuesday Taggers where the theme is 'Weddings' and is being sponsored by The Craft Barn and there is a £15 voucher up for grabs :o)

Crafty Calendar Challenge DT Card and Some News

Good morning

It's the first Friday of the month so that means a new challenge has been set at the Crafty Calendar Challenge.  The challenge for July is 'Summer Holidays'.  So we would love to see your cards themed around summer and holidays - added option of yellow.  Don't forget we are a monthly challenge so you have plenty of time to enter :o)

This card is on its way to a very brave little girl, Bella Tucker.  On Easter Sunday Bella came down with a near fatal infection and doctors gave little hope for this little girl's survival.  However, after five days in a coma she miraculously survived.  Unfortunately, her survival from this infection was not without significant cost. The infection caused extensive tissue damage, and Bella underwent quadruple amputation surgery and is currently facing an extremely long and hard recovery at Children’s Hospital in Boston with extensive rehabilitation to follow, as she learns to live life without her limbs.  You can read all about Bella here.

Now for my news.  I am thrilled to say I have been chosen as one of the GDT's at Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge.  I was most surprised (and excited lol!) when I saw my name on the blog last night.  I love CC products especially the super cute Popcorn the Bear and am looking forward to being a member of the DT for 3 months starting in August.

I am off work today but have a very busy day planned.  I am going to watch Chloe's class assembly this morning and then having a BBQ lunch at Jamie's school.  I also need to make a box for a wedding card I made yesterday.  It's for my cousin and the wedding is tomorrow!
